Detour to Costa Rica

April 5th, 2010 . by admin

I work for an American multinational company and was recently there for a meeting in Phoenix, Arizona. This is not the most exciting city in the states and furthermore this place is well known for its dry spell and scorching hot sun. I wouldn’t mind the hot weather but it is the lack of fun places to visit that bores me. Anyway during one of the discussions with my American colleagues, they were talking about the great vacations they had in the Caribbean Islands and one of them argued that Costa Rica which wasn’t part of the Caribbean but close to it was probably the best. That got me interested and since I had a few days off after my trip to the states, why not just detoured to Costa Rica. So I made some changes to my flight schedules and managed to get a flight from LAX to San Jose, Costa Rica. Since it was my first trip to the country so I decided to take a local tour that would take me to Manuel Antonio as well as Montezuma Costa Rica. It was a 4 days tour, yeah it was quite a rush but I wanted to see as mush of the country as possible within the shortest period of time. So I spent a couple of days in Manuel Antonio which is well known place for honeymooners and dating couples. I even met a couple from Asia who were on their Costa Rica honeymoon and had been there for about a month since they had so much fun and wanted to see all the places in the country. After that I flew off to Montezuma Costa Rica which is located in the beautiful Nicoya Peninsula on the north west coast of the country. It was definitely a stunning place with amazing beaches, great hotels and resorts and nature parks. Although it was a short 4 days trip but I could now see why my colleagues just couldn’t get enough of Costa Rica
