New York’s Hot Spots

March 17th, 2010 . by admin

People go to New York for different reasons. Some may go there for business since New York is said to be the business capital of the world. Some may go there for leisure and the reason is obvious; because New York has lots to offer. Take for example its museums like the Guggenheim Museum or the Metropolitan Museum of Art simply known to many as the MET.  We cannot blame these New York spots. Without doubt, Guggenheim Museum and the MET are indeed like a magnet to tourist. Thousands of thousands of tourist visits these places every year. Some would even comment that a person’s stay in New York would not be complete if he or she has not gone through these amazing museums.

So why are these museums such an issue once you visit New York? The reason is that the Guggenheim Museum and the MET shelters thousands of modern and contemporary arts. From the world famous artist like Chagall, Kandinsky, Picasso as well as the French artist no less the Vincent Van Gough himself, these museums keep their artworks. You can picture going throughout incredible places filled up with amazing modern and contemporary arts. If you visit Guggenheim Museum, you’ll not help but be blown away of the way the place was structure, it awesome dome. You might pass by the awesome ramp that curves till go to the dome. It’s such a gripping and enjoyable experience to accomplish this.

Though obviously the destination spots in New York aren’t constrained to Guggenheim Museum or the MET, additionally, there are other wonderful places to go to on this Big Apple. However, similar to the remark of other people about Guggenheim Museum and the MET, should you have not already been through it, it could appear to be you haven’t been in New York at all. These types of museums and other tourist areas in New York are usually what make the site some sort of melting pot of different ethnicities. New York is extremely popular, usually represented in films, books, or magazine. There isn’t any not accepting with this fact.

What are some great reasons why travellers must look at using Airport Parking

March 16th, 2010 . by admin

Airport parking provides a method in which your car can be maintained in a safe, secure location when you take trips on an airline. Because of the constant instances of unsettling behaviors by certain members of society, it is increasingly important that we exercise great care in the things we do and places we go.Bristol Airport ParkingWhen travelling, it is desirable to keep any potential mishaps to a minimum. Since airports provide parking for the travellers who drive themselves to the airport, it is beneficial to take advantage of this service. That way, the individual is not relying on someone else to drop them off. In managing their own time, they do not have to take into consideration the needs of another person. Many travellers weigh the pros and cons of driving to the airport and it can be quite a challenge, what with the congestion of the hundreds, if not thousands, of fellow travellers flying out from the same airport at any given time. One of the considerations is where they might leave their car if they are going to be away for an extended period of time.A few factors affect the decision to drive and use a parking structure. If the traveller will be gone a particularly long time, he tends to think whether the vehicle will remain secure and whether it is worth it to have the care idle for so long. He wonders if the security of the car merits the fee to be charged. The fact is that parking structures are manned with security personnel whose job is to maintain the security for that particular area. The cars are given a ticket/number and parked where there is good visibility by the security personnel. There is convenient access to the parking areas making it a seamless transition from the parking area to the boarding area.A person would not want to leave their vehicle sitting in the open in an unsecured area for a long time, as for a holiday. This could be an open invitation for vandals or thieves to damage or steal the car. People casually passing by could see an unattended vehicle and think it to be an easy target and it could be susceptible to being stripped of its registration tags.Hotels in BristolParking one’s car in airport parking before getting on the airplane is a logical thing to do and can set the traveller’s mind at ease that its safety will maintained and the car will be in good condition when he returns. By having the car nearby when returning from a flight, the driver can be quickly on his way and not have to find a rental car, taxi cab or wait for a lift. The decision to park one’s car at an airport while taking a flight should be an easy one to make. The benefit of having a secured place to leave it justifies the nominal fee for the parking service. It also cuts down on the challenge associated with arranging rides to and from the airport.Bristol Airport Car Parking

Brighton Short Breaks Recommended Days For Bad Weather

March 12th, 2010 . by admin

Brighton Short Breaks is a solid devotee of Brighton Museum, which offers a wonderful destination for both the Brighton and Hove visitor and the resident for a number of reasons and not least the architectural joy of the  construction itself.

Sited n the gorgeous yards of the Royal Pavilion grounds, its architecture owes a great deal to the inheritance and fashion of the Pavilions designer, John Nash, recalling and reflecting some of the splendour and flights of fantasy that the Pavilion personifies. But its beginnings arent quite so impressive as the building itself once housed the stables for the Royal Residence, although perchance the most glamourous stables to exist in the United Kingdom!

As the prime Brighton and Hove Museum web site tells us : ‘Brighton Museum was founded by local brewer and social reformer Henry Willett.  He was an thirsty accumulator of pottery and porcelain and Mr Willett’s Popular Pottery showcases his accumulation.’

This is the best web site for getting information on the opening hours and specialized exhibitions that are housed within the museum, but the most cardinal piece of info is this: Admission is Free! So another outstanding way to  spend an good afternoon if the weather isn’t the best, and a way that wont try the purse!

The museum is perhaps better suited to slightly older kids as it doesn’t house too many of the ‘child attention grabbers’ that so many other museums put up. However that is not to say that there isnt a wealth of stuff there to snap their interest  – but a little and often attack might allow the ideal way to get the most out of this essential local attraction.

As you would expect there’s a  of special local chronicle embraced within the Museum and on the top floor there are plenty of resources for hunting local history or personal family history – so another potential undertaking for the family to enjoy on a windy and cold afternoon.

Overstaying our Costa Rica Honeymoon

March 11th, 2010 . by admin

Last December my wife and I went for our Costa Rica honeymoon right after our wedding in San Francisco where my family is from. It was initially meant to be just a 9 days trip but we ended up staying for 3 weeks. It was just too good of a trip to go back home after more than a week and since we are both running our own business so we could afford to be a little bit more flexible when it came to our schedules. After all we had able and trusted lieutenants to look after our businesses while we were away.

Initially we were staying in Jaco and Manual Antonio area for about a week. Although those 2 places were great for honeymoons with all the right ingredients such as a romantic setting, beautiful beaches and amazing views but we felt that it was also a bit crowded. This is not surprising as both places could be considered as the most visited places in Costa Rica by foreign tourists. They are both pretty accessible as well taking just a mere 2 hours to reach by car or less than 30 minutes by flight to Quepos which is also nearby. However if you are looking for places to stayed and equipped with full ranged of facilities and amenities, these are the places that you should go. After one week, we wanted to go to place where it was less crowded so that we could have some peace and quiet for the remaining days of our honeymoon. Someone from the hotel recommended Nicoya Peninsula specifically Montezuma Costa Rica. We loved it the minute we stepped in Montezuma as the town although small but was charming and the beaches were both tranquil and gorgeous. From Montezuma Costa Rica we also visited the nearby areas which consist of a nature reserve by the name of Cabo Blanco, 2 remote beaches in Santa Teresa and Mal Pais which might not be safe for swimming but great for surfing. Furthermore there are plenty of fabulous restaurants in town that serve unique fusion European and Costa Rica cuisines.

London Short Breaks 50 Free Days Out For The Family In Central London

March 6th, 2010 . by admin

Placing aside any ethical and moral issues for the present moment, as a tourist to London one thing visitors from around the world must make time for is a trip to the British Museum. As the most significant empire the earth has ever recognized the British explorers/conquerors/looters (whichever  you like to use) conveyed back from the remote reaches of their empire artefacts and historical treasures the likes of which had ne’er been earlier.

The marvelous thing about the British Museum – apart from the fact that entry is free and so makes for a marvelous day out with the kinsfolk, (and priceless on one of those extraordinary rainy  days we from time to time get in London) is that there really is something for everyone. No kid can ever pass past the historic embalmed dead bodies of Egyptian mummys without a shudder and know exactly what they are looking at.

Want to see a absolutely preserved trunk (apart from a little discoloring and the fact that he’s squashed) that has lain in a peat bog for well-nigh 2000 years? Then get on to the British Museum.

Wishing to see one of the most hottly contested museum artefacts in the globe before they get repaid to Athens? Then go a long and see the Elgin Marbles which are displayed in unbelievable beauty with their mountings and lightings in their own devoted room on the ground level.

The museum draws its sources back to 1753 when an act of Parliament officially assumed the contribution (at a monetary value of £20,000 admittedly) from Sir Hans  Sloane, a personal aggregation of over 71,000 objects. Over the succeeding hundred years or so, the riches of the Empire allowed itself the luxury of widening this collection with many ‘gentlemen’ gatherers and archeologists bringing back curiosities and ancient treasures from around the globe.

The opening hours are 10.00 to 17.30 daily and entry is free – apart from unique expositions – and with audio tours in 10 distinct languages, it really does offer an marvellous day out for every visitant to our metropolis. See the Musuems interesting website for details of special plans and details of influence they are doing around the world to boost and maintain the heritage of hundreds of countries!
