How to get the Best out of Being Unemployed

September 1st, 2010 . by admin

Are you an unemployed employee or soon to be unemployed? People who resigned usually forgot about their unemployment benefits and the Human Resource Department will, as much as possible, not mention it to you since this will save them a lot and informing you will only cost the company more. Being unemployed means a lot, I, for one, resigned because I no longer like the job. For me, the job becomes a burden that I don’t want to carry anymore. The idea of finding out the right job is what I always dream of. But after a week of being officially unemployed, reality is creeping in as I can no longer spend my money carelessly because I don’t have any income to serve as a fallback. Looking for that ideal job is all but forgotten, when one’s stomach is grumbling from hunger. Suddenly being unemployed is no longer a good idea. As the Chinese saying of “Yin-Yang”, I am convince that there would always be something positive coming out from every negative things. So, I checked every possible way to maximize my savings and tide me for awhile while I’m looking for a job. So how much would i get from unemployment? Pretty much, as I totaled all, I saved a total of 32% from tax since I’m no longer working, I’m no longer required to pay taxes instead I can apply for unemployment benefits from the government. how much unemployment benefits do i qualify for as single? I’m blessed, since even if it’s not that big, around $100 a month, it’s enough for me to eat 3 meals a day and still have enough for transportation. So before you throw in the towel and started groveling to your former boss, try to look for other options, since they are just around all you need is to be resourceful. In the end, you will end up with the job that you will really love.
