Car Dealers Locations

August 16th, 2010 . by admin

Choosing where to put your business is a major consideration when setting up any sort of enterprise. Whether you are an entrepreneur looking to set up a tiny business that consists of you and an office, or whether you are a multi national corporation who is opening their 20th office world wide. Or maybe you are setting up a shop, or opening a hotel, or offering spa treatments to tried city types. Every business, no matter how large or how small, needs to take into account their market, pricing and brand when choosing where to base themselves.

Take, for example, a hotel. When choosing where to set up the hotel you need to make a decision. Are you setting yourself up as a cosy romantic getaway, perfect for escaping from the world and experiencing the pleasures of good food and even better company. If so, you may want to set up in a rural destination, and it will have to be one that is ideally situated both for access from major cities, and for access to local romantic tourist hotspots. If, alternatively, your hotel is a metropolitan hotspot, providing business workers with a quality room for the night, and perhaps some nice drinks and food, then you will need to choose a location that is not only city based, but which is near to either the business centre or the transport links.

The considerations are slightly different if you are, for example, a car dealers. The main thing you will need to think about, in terms of practical issues, is how much room you need. After all, cars aren’t exactly com[pact little things, and you will need quite a few both in the forecourt and in the showroom at any given time. The space issue often pushes dealers into a town’s industrial estates, but you need to consider other factors in the decision too. For example, are people going to be able to find you? Should you sacrifice some space for a roadside location everyone will see – something that is especially important if the dealership in question is new to an area.

As you can see, there is a lot more than rent and space involved in making a decision like this. You have to choose somewhere that will allow your business to grow and flourish, and should never just take the cheapest option regardless of the dodgy location it is in. Put the needs and wants of your customers first and foremost and you should find that they are much more likely to come in and have a look around, rather than you being in the unfortunate position of having set up your business without anyone realising that you exist. Obviously marketing budget will have an impact on that, but even so I think that location is a remarkably important factor in the setting up of the whole thing altogether.

Make sure to heed these words – don’t underestimate the importance of Car Dealers location, no matter how big or small your business is.
